Halloween in Austin

Wish I had more pictures, I saw the funniest costumes ever. The guy in the background is wearing a mini swiss maiden outfit, and yes, that is his butt cheek hanging out. The funniest part was the next morning, my friend and I went to a little cafe for breakfast. Sitting next to us at the diner bar was a guy in his mummy costume. I asked "dude, you're still in your costume?" to which he replied, "yeah...walk of shame."

So we'd booked a hotel online that had a kitchenette in case we had a whole crew come in and stay. Turned out to be the nastiest hotel ever. They don't give you maid service and new towels until you've stayed there a week, everything was worn out, small stream coming out of the shower. So we looked online again, and found the Driskill, a historic 4-star hotel downtown. It only cost $20 more a night, and is INCREDIBLE! All marble, huge staircases and high ceilings. I've never stayed somewhere so beautiful. The bell staff brought up a doggy pampering kit for my friend's dog. Oh, and I saw Mike Farrell of MASH fame on the way to the elevator. I also
surprised a maid who almost screamed when she turned around to me, she thought I was a ghost! Apparently this place has a history.
